Texas Bus Roundup Video
I made a short video of TBR 2009, if interested you can view it here. The music was provided by a fellow bus nut who plays piano in his Jazz Band, now I know why he calls himself on the Eagles International Forum "PianoMan".

Texas Bus Roundup Pictures

Here is an arial shot of our bus rally, a nephew of one of the attendees did several fly by's at about 1,000' and took this.
We had such a great time this year, and we are already making plans for TBR 2010. Not that it takes that long, but as we have increased in numbers I have had some volunteers ask me if they could help. So the organizing has taken it to a different level.
Here is the link
Once there you will see some more links on the left titled Candid, Random and Owners. Click on them and view the rest.

Breaking Camp Today
We have had such a wonderful time this year, 26 buses, lots of good food and fun. We have outgrown this location, so we've been discussing where next years event will take place. There is an Eagle Rally in Branson, the Carthage Rally in Missouri and our rally in Texas that have similar dates. We are going to plan it so our rally will be held September 30, 2010 through October 3rd. The Eagle Rally is scheduled for Oct. 5-7, Carthage Oct. 10-13. We are going to have three rallies back to back hoping to attract some of the coaches from the West and East Coast. It should be a fun two weeks, if it all works out.
I will post a link to our rally pictures sometime next week and also to the Eagle Rally that was held last month in Kansas. We did not attend that one as it was not possible with my studies this year.
We hope to head out early this morning for our trip back home to Abilene, maybe Becky will be able to enjoy the trip as she will not be working.
Life is good!

Texas Bus Roundup in 5 Days!
We have 24 coaches signed up with a couple more that are tentative. Also a few folk are coming to just look, wanting to buy. The weather is going to be great, scattered T storms on Thurs with partly cloudy skies and the highs in the lower 70's. Great weather for a bonfire at night. Last year we had hurricane Ike to deal with, lots of humidity and hot weather. This year is going to be much better.
I might have to think about mid to late October for next year, as Eagles International is having their Branson Rally Oct 5-7th 2010. I sure would like to go to that one, but with TBR so close we might have to hold off until I finish college. They have the rally there every other year.
I'm going to spend the day prepping our coach, check fluids, tire pressure and go fill it up with diesel. We are going to drive to Hawley and exercise the coach, we used to live there and it has easy access to the pumps, which is what we need. Becky and her Mom are coming over for the ride. Her Mom has never ridden in the bus, and has not seen it since we added the kitchen, carpet, blinds and all of the other work.
I'll be posting some pictures of TBR and the link for them after we return.
Happy Trails Everyone!
